Horn Lake Fire Department is proud to serve the citizens with around the clock protection for fire and medical emergencies, operating from two fire stations that house thirty-six fire department personnel and twelve EMS personnel.  Station One is located on Tulane, one block south of City Hall and responds to the west side of the city (including the newly annexed area, extending to Hwy 301) with Engine One, Engine Three and Medic One.  Station Two is located on Hwy 51, between Nail Road and Church Road and houses Engine Two, Truck One, Medic Eleven and our administrative staff.

Among the different aspects of fire service many of our current thirty-six fire personnel are specially trained to handle are water rescue, high angle rescue, rapid intervention rescue, confined space rescue and hazardous materials.  Mark Brown, Fire Inspector for Horn Lake Fire Department, handles fire investigation duties and building inspections for fire code safety.  We are proud to have members that hold some of the highest certifications the Mississippi Fire Academy has to offer.  The protection of our citizens and their property is our highest priority.

Full-time emergency medical technicians and paramedics are relied on to staff the two ambulances that serve the city.  Our EMTs and paramedics are also trained in various specialties of their field.  We have in-house CPR instruction, basic trauma life support technicians, advanced cardiac life support technicians and personnel trained in pediatric advanced life support.  Our emergency medical staff works hand-in-hand with fire personnel to render life-saving care during rescue operations.  Training of EMS personnel is a large focus for our department.  As we grow, we seek better ways to meet the needs of our citizens with professional patient care.

Horn Lake is growing and so is our fire department.  We are always in search of entry level paramedics and EMT/EMS drivers.  We are currently accepting applications for entry-level firefighters.  Click here to print your application today and join a department with room for growth and a bright future.  Our station numbers are listed above for your convenience.  Please feel free to contact us with any concerns or questions.
