Born in Memphis and raised in Mississippi, I left this area to serve in the U.S. Navy for over 12 years in the United States Navy and was discharged in October 1989 as a disabled Veteran. When we returned, Bettie and I owned and operated two successful freight brokerages and a heavy haul division.
In 2004, I accepted a position with Governor Barbour as a field representative for the MSGOP. During this time, I served with and supported many statewide politicians with their successful campaigns. I am well-versed in Mississippi politics and have the necessary relationships with movers and shakers across this great state to get things done.
In 2012, I accepted a position with the Social Security Administration and retired after 23 years of federal service.
Many know me through my humanitarian efforts with Lions Clubs International. I was elected to serve as the 1st Vice District Governor. My wife and I are Charter members of the Horn Lake Lions Club and Horn Lake Optimist Club. We served these humanitarian organizations for 20 years, and he is currently Secretary and Treasurer with the Optimist.
Service to others is essential to me and my Wife Bettie. “We sincerely believe you cannot get far in life until you serve someone in need.”
An active member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion. Serves as a board member of the Desoto County Veterans Park. My wife and I are active members of the ASPCA and fight for animals and their well-being.
He and his wife Bettie have been married for 29 years and attend the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Horn Lake.
