Citizens Of Horn Lake:
With the safety of Horn Lake residents and our collection crews as our top priority, Meridian Waste must suspend curbside trash service and rubbish pickup for the remainder of this week due to current and forecasted hazardous road conditions. Operating heavy collection equipment on icy or unsafe roads increases the risk of accidents for motorists, residents, and our employees, and we do not take that risk lightly.
We will return to regular collection routes on Monday, February 2, 2026. To help us serve the community as efficiently as possible when conditions improve, we respectfully ask residents to:
We understand that any interruption is inconvenient, and we are grateful for the City’s partnership and residents’ patience as we work through winter weather conditions. Respectfully,
Meridian Waste

As we prepare for the extreme below-freezing temperatures expected next week, we want to ensure that you and your home remain safe and comfortable during this chilly season. It is crucial to take proactive measures to protect your plumbing and avoid the inconvenience of frozen pipes.
We recommend that you take the following steps:
1. Slow Stream Your Water: Allow a small trickle of water to flow from your faucets. This can help prevent your pipes from freezing or bursting.
2. Open Cabinet Doors: If you have sinks located on exterior walls, open the cabinet doors to allow warm air to circulate around the plumbing.
3. Cover Outside Faucets: Insulate your outdoor faucets with covers or towels to shield them from the cold.
In the unfortunate event that you experience a busted pipe, please do not hesitate to reach out to our utility office during regular business hours at 662-393-0249, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. For emergencies after hours, you can contact us at 901-652-1308.

New cart deliveries and second can requests will need to go through the Horn Lake Utilities Department. All other inquiries, such as replacement carts, missed trash, or rubbish pickup need to be reported using the 311 Horn Lake Mississippi - 311 so the city can track these issues. This will be handled directly through the Meridian Waste.
