The department uses the same application for all positions in the police department - police officer, dispatch, clerical staff; however, our application is different from applications for other City of Horn Lake positions. Applicants for the position of Police Officer initially complete an abbreviated application (Police Application). All other police department applicants will complete the Telecommunicator and Other Non Law Enforcement(Civilian) application below. Police Officer applicants that successfully complete our tryout process will then be provided a full application to complete.

Applications, completed and submitted correctly, remain on file in a current status for 90 days, after that period of time it is necessary to file an updated application.
